Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 8 July 2026 · Rubberdesk Pty Ltd · ABN: 18 163 716 247
1. Introduction
bolta.space is a product operated by Rubberdesk Pty Ltd (ABN 18 163 716 247), an Australian proprietary limited company. In this Cookie Policy, references to “we”, “us”, “our”, or “Rubberdesk” are references to Rubberdesk Pty Ltd.
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the bolta.space platform (the “Platform”), including the bolta.space website, our web applications, and any subdomain operated by Rubberdesk.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy (available at https://bolta.space/privacy) and our Terms and Conditions (available at https://bolta.space/terms).
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the operators of the site.
In this Cookie Policy, references to “cookies” include cookies and similar tracking technologies, such as web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage, where used for similar purposes.
3. Our Current Approach
We use a minimal set of cookies. At the date of this Cookie Policy, we use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Platform and the security of your session. We do not use cookies for advertising, marketing tracking, behavioural profiling, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics.
Because our current cookies are strictly necessary, they do not require your consent under the United Kingdom Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (“PECR”) or equivalent law, but we disclose them to you in the interests of transparency. If at any time we add cookies that are not strictly necessary (such as analytics, session replay, or customer support chat cookies), we will update this Cookie Policy and implement a consent mechanism so that you can choose whether to accept those cookies before they are set.
4. Categories of Cookies
Cookies are commonly categorised as follows. We currently use only the first category.
4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies (in use)
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. Without them, the services you have requested cannot be provided. They include cookies that:
- Authenticate you and maintain your logged-in session;
- Re-authenticate you securely when you have selected “Stay signed in”;
- Distribute traffic across our servers to keep the Platform available;
- Identify and protect against malicious automated traffic and abuse;
- Process payments where you have initiated a payment or subscription action.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent under PECR or comparable laws, but you can block them through your browser settings if you wish (see Section 7). Doing so will likely prevent the Platform from working as intended.
4.2 Functionality Cookies (not currently in use)
Functionality cookies remember choices you have made (such as language, region, or display preferences) to provide enhanced features. We do not currently set any functionality cookies. We do store a small number of display preferences in your browser's local storage — these are listed in Section 5.4 below. They are saved on your device at your request (for example, when you choose dark mode), are never transmitted to us or to any third party, and are generally exempt from consent requirements as user-requested preferences. If we add functionality cookies that track or transmit data in future, they will be subject to your consent.
4.3 Analytics Cookies (not currently in use)
Analytics cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so that we can measure and improve the performance of the Platform. They help us understand which pages are most and least popular and how visitors move around the site. We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add analytics cookies in future (for example, a privacy-conscious product analytics tool), they will be subject to your consent before they are set.
4.4 Support and Session Replay Cookies (not currently in use)
Some platforms use cookies set by customer support chat widgets, or by session replay tools that record a user’s interactions on the site for support and improvement purposes. We do not currently use any such cookies. If we add a customer support chat widget or a session replay tool in future, the relevant cookies will be subject to your consent.
4.5 Marketing and Advertising Cookies (not in use)
Marketing and advertising cookies are used to deliver targeted advertising, measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and build audience profiles for advertising purposes. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies on the Platform and have no current plans to do so.
5. Cookies We Set
The following cookies may be set when you use the Platform. “Duration” indicates how long the cookie remains on your device unless deleted by you.
5.1 First-Party Cookies
These cookies are set directly by Rubberdesk in the bolta.space domain.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GOFLEX_SID | Rubberdesk | Maintains your authenticated session as you navigate the Platform. Without this cookie you cannot remain signed in. | Session (deleted when browser closes) | Strictly necessary |
| REMEMBERME | Rubberdesk | Set only when you tick “Stay signed in” during login. Allows you to remain signed in across browser sessions without re-entering your credentials. | 7 days | Strictly necessary |
5.2 Third-Party Cookies Set on Our Behalf for Platform Operation
These cookies are set by third-party service providers we engage to operate and protect the Platform. They are still considered strictly necessary because they enable the Platform to function and remain secure.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AWSALB | Amazon Web Services | Distributes traffic across our application servers to keep the Platform available and responsive (load balancing). | 7 days | Strictly necessary |
| AWSALBCORS | Amazon Web Services | Companion to AWSALB; provides cross-origin support for load balancing. | 7 days | Strictly necessary |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Identifies and protects the Platform against malicious automated traffic (bot management). | 30 minutes | Strictly necessary |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Records that you have passed a Cloudflare security challenge so that you are not repeatedly challenged. | Up to 1 year | Strictly necessary |
5.3 Third-Party Cookies Set Only on the Billing Page
When you visit a page that involves payment or subscription management, our payment processor (Stripe) loads its own scripts and may set the following cookies on its own domains (js.stripe.com, m.stripe.com). These cookies are governed by Stripe’s own cookie policy.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention and detection. Identifies the browser to prevent fraudulent payments. | Up to 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention session identifier used during a checkout or billing session. | Approximately 30 minutes | Strictly necessary |
| m | Stripe | Fraud prevention cookie set on Stripe’s mobile domain. | Up to 2 years | Strictly necessary |
For full details about how Stripe uses these cookies, please refer to Stripe’s cookie policy at https://stripe.com/cookie-settings.
5.4 First-Party Local Storage
The Platform stores the following display preferences in your browser’s local storage. Local storage values have no expiry (they persist until you clear your browser data), are saved only at your request, and are never transmitted to Rubberdesk or to any third party — they exist solely so the Platform remembers your choices on your own device.
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| goflex-theme | Remembers your light / dark mode choice. |
| goflex-tour-completed | Remembers that you have completed the first-run product tour so it is not shown again. |
| goflex_pricing_currency | Remembers the currency you selected on the pricing page. |
| sidebar-collapsed / sidebar-collapsed-v2 | Remembers whether you collapsed the navigation sidebar. |
| goflex.result_dialog.scroll | Restores your scroll position after certain in-page actions, within the same visit. |
(Key names retain an earlier internal product prefix; they are identifiers only.)
5.5 Third-Party Content (Google Maps)
Pages that display a map load the Google Maps service in your browser. When a map loads, your browser communicates directly with Google and Google receives your IP address and standard request information. Google Maps does not set cookies on the Platform’s pages in our configuration. Google’s handling of this information is described in Google’s privacy policy. Google is also listed as a sub-processor at bolta.space/subprocessors.
6. What We Do Not Do
In the interests of transparency, we also tell you what we do not do. At the date of this Cookie Policy, we do not:
- Set any cookies for advertising, retargeting, behavioural profiling, or cross-site tracking;
- Use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any equivalent marketing or analytics pixel;
- Use any session replay, screen recording, or heat-mapping tool;
- Use any A/B testing or experimentation tool that sets cookies;
- Sell, rent, or share cookie data with advertisers or data brokers;
- Operate a cookie consent banner or record cookie consent decisions, because our current cookies do not require consent.
If any of these positions change, we will update this Cookie Policy in advance and implement an appropriate consent mechanism where required by law.
7. Managing Cookies
7.1 Through Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings. To learn how to manage cookies in popular browsers, see:
- Apple Safari: https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac
- Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Microsoft Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoft-edge
- Mozilla Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer
Please note that blocking or deleting cookies described in this Cookie Policy will affect the Platform’s ability to function. In particular, blocking the GOFLEX_SID cookie will prevent you from signing in.
7.2 “Do Not Track” Signals
Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking or behavioural advertising, DNT signals do not change our behaviour. If we add tracking technologies in future, we will consider DNT signals as part of our consent approach.
7.3 Mobile Devices
If you access the Platform from a mobile device, you can manage cookies through the settings of the browser application on your device. Some mobile operating systems also offer device-level tracking controls.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in law, or changes in our practices. The “Effective Date” at the top of this Cookie Policy will be updated whenever changes are made.
Where we add cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will update this Cookie Policy in advance and implement a consent mechanism so that you can choose whether to accept those cookies before they are set on your device.
We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically. A full history of changes is available at https://bolta.space/legal/changelog.
